Karachi, Feb 15: Director General Logistics GHQ Maj Gen Fida Hussain Malik called on Administrator DHA in his Office and discussed matters of mutual interest. Administrator apprised the General Officer about the details of the ongoing development projects in DHA/DCK and the various community oriented initiatives taken and interventions made by DHA for the welfare and wellbeing of residents.

DG Logistic GHQ appreciated the visionary zeal and versatile development strategy of DHA which he said substantiated the credibility and reputation of DHA as a leading Housing Authority of the country which has set benchmark standards in the field of housing and community living.

Karachi, 14 Feb 2017: Managing Director Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB) Mr Misbahuddin Farid alongwith his technical team called on Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali in his office. They discussed the problems faced by residents due to acute shortage of water in DHA and the dire need to resolve them through dynamic and proactive measures. Administrator apprised MD KW&SB of the gravity of the problem due to less bulk supply of water by KW&SB to DHA much lesser than its authorized quota.

MD KW&SB assured the Administrator that his team was working dedicatedly to mitigate the water issue and will ensure enhanced bulk supply of water to DHA as well as provide an additional line for increasing the quantum of water supplied to DHA. He was hopeful that problem of scarcity of water in DHA will greatly be addressed once K-4 project is completed.

Administrator thanked MD KW&SB for his co-operation and hoped that Karachi Water Board would succeed in resolving the water issues of DHA at the earliest. The meeting ended on a positive note.

Karachi, 25 Jan 2017: Head of Dr Essa’s Laboratory and Diagnostic Centre Dr Farhan Essa and Ms Lubna Saleem called on Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali in his Office today. They discussed matters pertaining to promotion of medical and healthcare services in DHA. Dr Farhan Essa highlighted the significance of blood testing and diagnostic facilities to proactively identify various dangerous diseases specifically the lethal liver attacking viruses of Hepatitis B & C in blood. Dr Essa Lab’s doctors offered to establish Free Blood Testing Camps for Hepatitis B & C in DHA.

Administrator appreciated the noble gesture of Dr Essa Lab’s team and said that DHA attaches utmost importance to promotion of welfare and healthcare related initiatives in society. He reiterated that DHA would collaborate and co-operate with the organization in all their welfare related health programmes.

Karachi, 24 Jan 2017: Lt Gen Khalid Maqbool (Retd) ex Governor Punjab called on Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali in his Office and discussed matters of mutual and professional interest. Lt Gen (R) Khalid Maqbool appreciated DHA’s dynamic efforts to remain as the most prestigious and leading housing enterprise of the country. He said that it was reassuring that DHA is upholding its good name, reputation and unblemished trust which manifest its credibility as a strong organization in the field of housing and development in the country. He wished DHA all the best in its future endeavours.

Administrator thanked the ex Governor for endorsing encouraging remarks about DHA and said that the Housing Authority has not rested on its laurels but is making constant efforts to achieve the highest standards of excellence.

Karachi, 24 Jan 2017: Gen Ahsan Saleem Hayat (Retd), ex Vice Chief of Army Staff and ex Commander 5 Corps called on Administrator Defence Housing Authority Karachi Brig Shahid Hassan Ali in his Office today. They discussed matters of mutual and professional interest pertaining to DHA. Gen (R) Ahsan Saleem Hayat appreciated the dynamic vision, efficacy and progressive ventures of the Housing Authority which has given it the reputation of being one of the most prestigious residential estates of the country.

Gen Ahsan Saleem Hayat said that DHA mega projects were testimony of organization’s progressive vision and termed the development projects as reassuring which substantiate the credibility of DHA as a trendsetter in the field of development and town planning. He also commended various initiatives taken by DHA for the welfare and wellbeing of its residents that will bring a paradigm shift in community living concept.

Administrator thanked the General Officer for his kind words and said that DHA energized with a visionary zeal and commitment is making concerted efforts to keep pace with the contemporary developments in the field of housing with a view to provide best living environments to its residents.

Karachi, 13 Jan 2017: Chief Instructor Military College of Engineering Risalpur Brig Dr. Sarfraz Ali called on Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali in his Office today. He remained with the Administrator for sometime and discussed professional matters pertaining to construction and development activities in the backdrop of current technological and environmental challenges.

Karachi, 13 Jan 2017: DHA Phase-VIII spread over an area of 4,151 acres constitute approx 45% of entire DHA area and is the most well planned and modern phase of the Housing Authority. Phase-VIII is now under a mega development strategy, where various development works are progressing under the supervision of professional developers at a fast pace. Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali visited DHA Phase-VIII Directorate and chaired a meeting in which the progress of the ongoing development works was reviewed and pragmatic decisions were taken to ensure completion of projects on sound engineering and technical basis.

Project Director Phase-VIII said that the infrastructure development works of all left over projects in Phase-VIII have almost been completed. Electricity infrastructure work with support of K-Electric is progressing well while SSGC is laying gas pipelines in various sectors speedily. The Administrator was briefed about E-tagging system being implemented with the combination of sophisticated surveillance and computer system at all major roads in Phase-VIII for enhanced security and also on the status of newly developed modern graveyard in Phase-VIII. Administrator directed that all projects should be completed expeditiously with proper engineering planning and foresight in a transparent manner. He also directed that provision of basic amenities should be ensured in left over sectors of Phase-VIII before they are opened for construction.

Administrator later visited a street in a Phase-VIII sector to see the newly installed street lights and appreciated the quality and standard of work. He also visited Defence Authority Creek Club in Phase-VIII to see the progress of ongoing refurbishment / renovation work of squash courts. Administrator directed that revamping of squash courts be completed as per the international standards at the earliest.

Karachi, 12 Jan 2017: Two delegations of real estate agents representing DEFCLAREA (Defence and Clifton Association of Real Estate Agents) and PRIEF (Pakistan Real Estate Investment Forum) visited DHA Head Office and attended a meeting chaired by Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali in which matters pertaining to bringing further improvement and betterment in procedures for smooth transfer of real estate property were discussed. Administrator said that real estate agents were playing a pivotal role in promoting mutually beneficial real estate business activities. He said that they were also instrumental in giving a boost to national economy.

The Realtors gave various useful and pragmatic suggestions / recommendations for giving an impetus to the ongoing real estate business in DHA / DCK. The realtors were of the view that the value of property both in DHA and DCK has shown a positive increase despite the slump that hit the real estate business recently. Administrator asserted that DHA as a developer will extend all out co-operation and support to promote healthy real estate business activities with a view to facilitate the public at large.

The Administrator underlined the need for better understanding and co-ordination between Realtors and DHA to help facilitate the public in making credible, prudent and safe investment choices. The meeting ended on a happy and optimistic note.

Karachi, 6 Jan 2017: Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali visited Head Office of Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and had a cordial and fruitful meeting with MD SSGC in which the issues of provision of natural gas to the upcoming DHA projects were discussed in detail. In the meeting, which was also attended by the concerned officials of DHA and SSGC, the issue of early provision of gas to the upcoming DHA City Karachi (DCK) project and the newly developed sectors of DHA Phase-VIII were discussed.

MD SSGC assured of his full support and help to resolve the impasse expeditiously and accordingly instructed his staff to do the needful. Administrator DHA thanked MD SSGC for his supportive and positive approach for expediting provision of gas at DHA/DCK projects locations which he said would go a long way in facilitating smooth habitation of residents in DCK and in new sectors of DHA Phase-VIII.

DHA Karachi is a progressive and dynamic housing authority of the country which is committed to making all basic amenities in the area available to residents before any location in DHA and DCK is opened for construction.

Karachi, 3 Jan 2017: Additional Inspector General Traffic Police Sindh Mr Khadim Hussain Bhatti called on Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali in his Office today. He remained with the Administrator for sometimes and discussed matters of general and mutual interest pertaining to regulating, controlling and disciplining traffic in DHA. AIG Traffic assured the Administrator of traffic police full co-operation and co-ordination with DHA Vigilance in efficiently conducting and managing traffic flow especially on busy avenues/roads in DHA.

Administrator thanked Addl IG Traffic for his assurances of all out support and help in addressing the traffic woes of DHA. He also appreciated the efficient, dedicated and dutiful conduct of traffic personnel in providing round the clock traffic management services in DHA with efficiency and dexterity.
