Karachi, 24 March 2017: Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali visited the newly renovated and refurbished building of DHA Kids Academy. The Montessori has been revamped in a manner as to provide an enviable and conducive learning environment for young kids. Administrator appreciated the quality of development work and the innovative architectural designing of the setup that has made the school an attractive and beautiful venue for education.

Administrator also praised the creative layout, colourful display boards, wall papers and aesthetically conceived overall colour scheme of the school. He said that the young kids in their formative age absorb concepts and perceptions from the environment which are imprinted on their unfolding minds leaving indelible marks. Administrator stressed that a good learning environment of the school helps in laying sound foundation for development of child’s personality.

Principal DHA Kids Academy, Ms Shehreen Sabrani explained the salient features of the development work carried out and thanked the Administrator for his vision and help to uplift the Montessori as per the contemporary trends of education in vogue. She said that at school not only the young kids are given state-of-the-art education but teachers are also trained on modern lines for imparting qualitative education in Montessori system.

Administrator said that DHA will provide all support and facilities available for ensuring best education at the school. He said that DHA accords highest priority to promotion of quality education at all levels as its social-corporate responsibility.

Karachi, 22 March 2017: Military Secretary (MS) GHQ Lt Gen Ghayur Mahmood called on Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali in his Office today. They discussed matters of mutual and professional interest pertaining to DHA’s policies, ongoing mega projects and induction of officers in the organization. MS appreciated the efficacy, strategic planning and the progressive vision of the Housing Authority for the future.

The General Officer commended the dynamic and forward looking initiatives of the Housing Authority which has made DHA Karachi as a credible organization in the field of housing and community living. Administrator thanked MS for his kind and encouraging remarks about DHA and reiterated that DHA’s team energized with a spirit of commitment and dedication would always deliver to maintain the prestigious status and reputation of the Housing Authority as a leading residential estate of the country.

Karachi, 22 March 2017: DHA’s Executive Board Meeting chaired by its President, Commander 5 Corps Lt Gen Shahid Baig Mirza was held at Corps Headquarter. Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali briefed the meeting about the salient aspects of DHA’s ongoing development works, new initiatives and futuristic schemes.

Executive Board reviewed the progress made so far in execution of different development projects in DHA City and DHA Phase-VIII. Corps Commander directed DHA to objectively pursue the online projects and to ensure strict adherence of timelines and proper quality management of all projects being executed in DHA and DHA City. The planning and execution strategy of futuristic projects in DCK including thermal power generation projects Genco/Disco and Information Communication Technology (ICT) project were also discussed. Corps Commander appreciated the progressive and professional approach of DHA in planning futuristic projects of contemporary significance that will enhance the efficacy of DCK manifold.

The Executive Board also reviewed the ongoing master planning for making a state-of-the-art Hospital in Defence Phase-VIII to facilitate the residents and public in provision of best medical and treatment facilities to them. Corps Commander asked DHA to ensure welfare and wellbeing of residents in all its undertakings. He also stressed on the need to implement efficient road security mechanism and futuristic traffic management plan in DHA for proper and smooth regulation of traffic.

President Executive Board expressed satisfaction over the policies and overall performance of DHA in different fields and asked the management and staff of the Housing Authority to uphold DHA’s good name, reputation and credibility at all costs.

Karachi, 17 March 2017: Commander 5 Corps and President Executive Board DHA Lt Gen Shahid Baig Mirza visited Defence Housing Authority Karachi. On his arrival to DHA Head Office the Corps Commander was received by Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali. The Commander met the DHA officials and also visited various important setups in the Head Office.

The setups visited by Commander included Central Control Cell, CCTV Control Room and a new Conference Room equipped with modern facilities. Corps Commander was briefed about the working, efficacy and functioning of these setups. The Commander appreciated the dynamic initiatives of DHA and asked the management and staff of the Housing Authority to continue their sustained and dedicated efforts for achieving even higher standards of professional excellence.

Commander also had an exclusive meeting with Administrator in which various matters pertaining to DHA’s policies, priorities and futuristic plans were discussed. He gave strategic directions to DHA for further enhancing the efficacy, efficiency and reputation of the organization. Corps Commander directed DHA to ensure a resident-responsive approach in all their undertakings and to establish enhanced communication/interaction with residents for achieving the goals of healthy, vibrant and efficient civic life.

Corps Commander later visited DHA Phase-VIII, the largest phase of DHA, which is being developed as a model and vibrant phase showcasing the progressive image of the Housing Authority. Commander went to various development projects’ sites where he was briefed about the planning parameters and details of these projects. The projects visited included a new Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) in Phase-VIII and the new Phase-VIII Directorate Building being constructed at Seaview.

At the end of the visit the Commander met DHA officers at Defence Authority Country and Golf Club and had an informal interaction with them. He appreciated the high professional standards achieved by the Housing Authority and asked the officers and staff of the organization to continue working hard to maintain the status of DHA as a trendsetter in the field of housing and development in the country.

Karachi, 7 March 2017: Administrator DHA Brig Shahid Hassan Ali visited Headquarters 5 Corps and gave a briefing / update on the efficacy and progress of DHA and DCK’s ongoing mega/development projects, DHA’s various community development initiatives and the Housing Authority’s futuristic schemes to Commander 5 Corps and President Executive Board (PEB) DHA Lt Gen Shahid Baig Mirza. DHA’s concerned directors were also present on the occasion.

PEB appreciated the dynamic vision, versatile development strategy and the progressive outlook of the Housing Authority. He said that DHA has come a long way in emerging as the largest, most prestigious, residential estate in the country. Corps Commander impressed upon DHA the need for carrying on with sustained and dedicated efforts for continuously improving and enriching the living environment of residents and to complete the ongoing development projects in DHA and DCK expeditiously which should serve as examples of pride and accomplishment for others to emulate.

Corps Commander asked DHA to spare no efforts in attaining higher housing/residential standards and to maintain its role as the trendsetter in the country. He also urged DHA management to prepare itself to meet the future challenges, to maintain quality in all their undertakings and to ensure a resident-responsive management. He said that DHA must concertedly keep building the trust of its legacy and uphold DHA’s good name, reputation and credibility at all costs.

Administrator reiterated that DHA’s dedicated team infused with a reinvigorated spirit of commitment will leave no stone unturned in further enhancing the prestige and stature of DHA as an elite Housing Authority of the country.
